A Message from Keith Toon, Vice President of Scotia Soccer Club
2015-11-09I would like to take this opportunity to remind our club membership that on Wednesday the 25th of November starting at 7 o’clock we will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Waverley Legion.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind our club membership that on Wednesday the 25th of November starting at 7 o’clock we will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Waverley Legion.
This is an important night for all those involved with our club. This is the time we present our annual financial, statistical, marketing and technical reports. There will also be an address from the President giving an overview of the Club and of soccer in our region. Additionally, we will vote in the new board members for the upcoming term.
On a personal basis, I have been involved with the Club for over six years now and I am currently the VP, the Chair of the Technical Committee and a qualified coach for the Academy. In recent years, the attendance figures for our AGM have been very disappointing. I know that we all have an opinion on what the club is doing and thoughts and concerns over where the club is going. What are we doing right and what needs improvement? What are the strengths of the club and what are the weaknesses? With this knowledge we can improve the club and the quality of the product we deliver to our membership.
Elections conducted on the night will be for the following positions on the Board of Directors:
Finally, I would like to remind everyone that this is an important night for our Club and for its future. If the attendance is similar to previous years we must assume that as a Club and as the Board of Directors we are doing everything right.
Keith Toon,
VP Scotia Soccer Club
