When we rent school facilities, there are certain rules that we must follow in order that our group is not suspended from using the school in future. Make sure that the players and parents know the rules.

RULES:

• 48-HOURS NOTICE is required, if you wish to cancel your gym rental. The school rentals person is also supposed to give us 48-hrs notice but sometimes this does not always happen, if something goes wrong in the school.
• If schools are closed in the mornings due to weather, they will remain closed in the evening.
• If there is an in-service day the schools do remain open in the evening except on a Province wide in- service or a Profession Development Day .
• Due to the fact that we now have to have blanket insurance on the gyms, only the registered coach, assistant coach, manager and players are allowed to participate in activities on the gym floor. This means that any younger or older brothers or sisters that come along are not permitted on the gym floor. For insurance purposes, groups are not permitted to enter or be in the building without their appointed leaders. Groups should only be in the building during their own time slot, not before or after. Pounding on the door to gain entry is not permitted. The doors will be open 10 minutes before each sessions to allow groups to enter  and then the doors will be locked in some of the schools.
• Once the inclement weather arrives, NO OUTDOOR FOOTWEAR IS PERMITTED IN THE GYMS. Wet floors are very dangerous.
• Please note: Any school equipment that is on a stage, is not for our use at allShin pads must be worn at all practices just like at all games.
• Food, pop, juice or coffee and tea are not permitted in the gym or on the stage area, only water bottles for the players use are permitted.
• Any persons in the building associated with your group are the responsibility of the group leaders.
• Groups are to be in the designated areas only. The remainder of the building is off limits.
