First, we would like to apologize for the recent lack of communication regarding happenings within the club. Communication is a key area and one that we are addressing as we move forward.

Your club now has a board and the names and roles are laid out at the foot of this message.
We are aware that the initial message stated there would be an information evening prior to the long weekend but due to the volume of work, we have not managed to achieve that date. The intention was to then hold it on the evening of February 22; however, due to unforeseen personal circumstances not all board members are available that night. We are working towards holding the presentation on the night of Thursday, March 1. Once again, an apology for the delay but due to the work volume and the personal commitments, an earlier date is not feasible.
We have received several comments regarding the club name and the proposed club crest. Both of these items are being addressed and we hope to have some exciting news before Monday of next week. We are on a very tight timeline with this as we want to have the new Club uniforms ordered and available for the players before the summer season starts up and believe it or not Monday is our cut-off date to ensure we achieve that! Regarding the Club kit, we hope to unveil the new Club kit and announce our kit supplier at the same time as the news of the name and the crest.
We will be looking for member participation, when it comes to the club strategic planning and mission statement. If this is an area you would be interested in, please let us know.
Hopefully, we can address below some of the questions we have received. Should you have questions based on these comments please direct them to the relevant board member as listed at the foot of this message.

- What will happen with the existing SUSA and the Scotia U17 girls’ team? These two teams have been playing for the respective clubs for some time now and we feel it would be wrong to amalgamate them for this summer season. We have approached the league and asked to submit two “A” teams in this division.
- ** What will happen with the existing SUSA, Selects and Scotia U15 girls’ team? With three teams this is harder to address as it would be difficult to envisage all three teams being strong enough to play in the “A” division. We cannot say for sure but we have once again asked the league, if we can submit two teams in the “A” division.
- ** What is the likelihood of keeping friends playing with friends? That will be the aim, if friends are of equal ability and play on the same team we would endeavour to keep them together.
- Why would I want to take my player in the mini program to another community to play? That will not be the case. The mini programs will still be geographically based. If the player (or their older siblings/friends) historically played in Sackville, then they will continue to play there. Likewise with the teams that played in Fall River.
- What if we still don’t have the numbers in the “Prospects” program to field a team? As we did in the winter season, we will work collaboratively with the other district clubs to ensure that the players who are looking for the additional commitment of the “Prospects” program are given the opportunity to play at the correct level suited to their ability.
